Our story begins in 1881, when L.C.B. de Gruijter and O. Smissaert founded the removal company De Gruijter & Co. Shortly after our establishment, we were honoured with the prestigious assignment of moving King Willem III from his palace in The Hague to Paleis Het Loo in Apeldoorn. It marked the beginning of a long-standing relationship with the Royal Household, during which we moved several members of the House of Orange to their full satisfaction. It even earned us the designation ‘Royal’ in 1920. Since then, our range of services has expanded, but we have always remained true to our origins and our commitment to excellence.
